Make this simple, flavorful Baked Caesar Chicken for a quick weeknight dinner. Juicy chicken breasts are coated in a creamy Caesar and Parmesan sauce, baked until golden, and deliver that comforting Caesar salad taste without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup creamy Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended for crispness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. If your chicken breasts are very thick, pound them to an even thickness (about 3/4 inch) for consistent cooking. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the Caesar dressing, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise (if using), minced garlic, and Dijon mustard until smooth. This is your creamy Parmesan sauce.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Pour the creamy sauce evenly over the chicken, spreading it to cover the tops completely.
  5. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the sauce layer on each chicken breast. Top with a light dusting of extra Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) and the topping is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Let the juicy baked chicken breasts rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve this easy weeknight chicken with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For a one pan chicken dinner, add asparagus or broccoli florets to the baking dish around the chicken during the last 15 minutes of baking.
  • If you prefer a tangier flavor, add 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice to the sauce mixture.
  • This recipe works well for meal prepping; store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
