Prepare quick, flavorful salmon bites coated in a sticky sweet chili and lime glaze. These are perfect as an appetizer or a fast weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional garnish: chopped fresh cilantro or green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, lime juice, honey, lime zest, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to create the glaze.
  3. Place the salmon cubes in a medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss gently to coat.
  4. Pour half of the prepared glaze over the salmon cubes and toss until they are lightly coated. Reserve the remaining glaze for basting.
  5. Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes.
  7. Remove the sheet from the oven and brush the tops of the salmon bites with the reserved glaze.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for another 4 to 6 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze is sticky.
  9. Remove from the oven. Garnish with cilantro or green onions before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For an air fryer method, cook the salmon bites at 380°F (195°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, brushing with glaze halfway through cooking.
  • You can substitute maple syrup for honey if you prefer.
  • These bites pair well served over rice or alongside a simple green salad.
