Make a refreshing, layered strawberry cream cold brew at home using a simple sweet cream topping and strong cold brew coffee.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cold brew coffee concentrate
  • 1 cup water (for dilution)
  • Ice cubes
  • For the Strawberry Sweet Cream:
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry syrup (or pureed strawberries with sweetener)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cold brew: Mix the cold brew concentrate with water. If you do not have concentrate, steep coarse coffee grounds in cold water for 12-18 hours, then strain.
  2. Make the strawberry sweet cream: Combine the heavy whipping cream, whole milk, strawberry syrup, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  3. Whip the cream mixture using a whisk or electric mixer until soft peaks form. Do not over-whip to a stiff peak; you want a pourable, creamy texture.
  4. Assemble the drink: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the diluted cold brew over the ice, filling the glass about two-thirds full.
  6. Slowly spoon or pour the strawberry sweet cream mixture over the top of the cold brew so it gently layers on the surface.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a thicker cream, use less milk or whip the cream longer.
  • If using fresh or frozen strawberries instead of syrup, blend them until smooth before adding them to the cream mixture.
  • Adjust the water ratio to the concentrate based on your preferred coffee strength.
