Make your pork chops incredibly juicy and flavorful with this easy citrus-garlic marinade. This recipe works great for grilling or baking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined. This makes a fantastic citrus garlic pork chop marinade.
  2. Place your pork chops in a large, resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, making sure they are fully coated.
  4. Seal the bag or cover the dish. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight for the best flavor (this is a great overnight pork marinade).
  5. Remove the pork chops from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  6. Cook the pork chops using your preferred method, such as grilling over medium heat or baking at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

Notes

  • For a lower sodium option, reduce the added salt to 1/2 teaspoon.
  • If you prefer a sweeter flavor, substitute 1 tablespoon of the orange juice with 1 tablespoon of honey to create a honey mustard pork chops variation.
  • Always pat the chops dry slightly before cooking to help them brown nicely.
