Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the garlic butter sauce.
Place the salmon fillets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Place the trimmed asparagus on the other side.
Spoon half of the garlic butter sauce evenly over the salmon fillets.
Brush or toss the asparagus lightly with the remaining garlic butter sauce.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
Serve immediately with the roasted asparagus.
Notes
To prevent drying, do not overcook the salmon. Check for doneness at the 12-minute mark.
For a crispier top, you can briefly broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
Use high-quality butter for the best flavor in the sauce.
