Ingredients
Scale
1 cup frozen banana slices
1 cup fresh spinach, packed
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (or dairy-free yogurt for vegan)
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pure peppermint extract
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup or preferred sweetener (optional, adjust to taste)
3-5 ice cubes (optional, for extra thickness)
Instructions
Place the almond milk, spinach, yogurt, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract into your blender.
Add the frozen banana slices and sweetener, if using.
Blend on low speed initially, then increase to high speed until completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk. If it is not thick enough, add a few more frozen banana slices or ice cubes and blend again.
Taste the shake and adjust the peppermint or sweetener if necessary.
Pour immediately into a glass and serve cold.
Notes
For a thicker, ice cream-like texture, use only frozen banana and omit the ice cubes.
If you want a stronger green color without adding more spinach, add 1/4 teaspoon of spirulina powder.
To make this recipe vegan or dairy-free, use a plant-based yogurt substitute like coconut or soy yogurt.
If you do not have frozen bananas, use fresh bananas and add 1 cup of ice.
