A simple recipe for soft, buttery pull-apart bread coated in garlic and Parmesan cheese, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (10 biscuits total)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a standard 9-inch round cake pan or loaf pan.
  2. Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit in half horizontally to create two thinner rounds.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and salt.
  4. Dip each biscuit half into the butter mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
  5. Arrange the coated biscuit pieces randomly in the prepared cake pan, stacking them slightly on top of each other.
  6. Pour any remaining butter mixture over the top of the biscuits in the pan.
  7. Sprinkle the top generously with extra Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed up, golden brown, and cooked through in the center.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes before serving warm. Pull apart the pieces to serve.

Notes

  • For a homemade dough option, substitute the canned biscuits with 10 homemade soft dinner rolls, cut in half before dipping.
  • You can add 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder to the butter mixture for deeper flavor.
  • Serve this bread with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
