You can easily make this Texas Roadhouse Style Baked Salmon at home. This recipe delivers tender, flaky salmon with a sweet and savory glaze, ready in just 25 minutes for a perfect weeknight dinner or impressive meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve better texture.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Prepare the glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and whisk in the honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and onion powder until fully combined.
  5. Brush about half of the glaze mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  6. Bake the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon is mostly cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the fillets.
  8. Return the salmon to the oven for an additional 2 to 3 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize slightly. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
  9. Serve your moist and juicy salmon immediately. This pairs well with roasted vegetables or rice for a complete healthy fish dinner.

Notes

  • For crispy skin salmon, place the fillets skin-side down and bake for the full time. You can also briefly broil for the last minute, watching closely.
  • If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1 minced clove of garlic to the glaze while melting the butter.
  • This recipe is easily adaptable for an air fryer salmon method; cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, glazing halfway through.
