Ingredients
Scale
1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and thoroughly dried
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon ranch seasoning powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
Rinse the canned chickpeas well under cold water. Pat them completely dry using paper towels. Removing all moisture is key for crunch.
In a medium bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with olive oil until lightly coated.
Add the ranch seasoning powder, garlic powder, and salt to the bowl. Toss again until the chickpeas are evenly seasoned.
Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes, until the chickpeas are golden brown and very crunchy.
Remove from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. They will crisp up more as they cool.
Notes
For the best results, ensure the chickpeas are completely dry before adding oil and seasoning.
If you do not have ranch seasoning powder, you can mix dried dill, dried parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create a homemade version.
If you are using pre-cooked chickpeas, the total time may vary based on your air fryer model.
