A simple, no-bake recipe for making sweet and tart chocolate bark topped with freeze-dried strawberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the semi-sweet chocolate and the white chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until smooth. Add coconut oil to each bowl if using.
  3. Pour the melted semi-sweet chocolate into the prepared pan. Spread it into an even layer using an offset spatula.
  4. Immediately sprinkle half of the chopped freeze-dried strawberries evenly over the semi-sweet layer.
  5. Gently pour the melted white chocolate over the semi-sweet layer. Use the back of a spoon or a spatula to spread it carefully, trying not to mix the layers too much.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining freeze-dried strawberries over the top layer.
  7. Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is completely firm.
  8. Once set, lift the bark out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Break the bark into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For a decorative drizzle, melt a small amount of dark chocolate and drizzle it over the white chocolate layer before chilling.
  • You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate with dark chocolate or milk chocolate based on your preference.
  • Ensure the freeze-dried strawberries are completely dry before adding them to the melted chocolate.
