Make simple, crispy salmon patties quickly using your air fryer. This recipe uses canned salmon for convenience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.75 ounce) can salmon, drained and skin/bones removed
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs, plus more for coating
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, flake the drained salmon with a fork. Remove any remaining bones or skin pieces.
  2. Add the egg, mayonnaise, 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs, Dijon mustard, parsley, onion powder, pepper, and salt to the bowl. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties, about 1 inch thick.
  4. Place a small amount of extra panko breadcrumbs on a plate. Lightly press both sides of each patty into the breadcrumbs to coat.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius) for 3 minutes.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the salmon patties in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not touch. You may need to cook in batches.
  7. Lightly spray the tops of the patties with cooking spray.
  8. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the patties halfway through the cooking time. The patties should be golden brown and heated through.
  9. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you use fresh cooked salmon, ensure it is fully flaked and cooled before mixing.
  • For extra crispiness, spray the patties generously with cooking spray before the first air fry session.
  • Serve these patties with tartar sauce or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
