Follow these simple steps to cook juicy, flavorful boneless, skinless chicken thighs in your air fryer for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs completely dry using paper towels. This helps achieve a better exterior texture.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the chicken thighs with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and thyme until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius) for 5 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Air fry for 15 minutes.
  6. Flip the chicken thighs over.
  7. Continue to air fry for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) when checked with a meat thermometer in the thickest part.
  8. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • If your thighs are very thick, you may need to add 2-3 minutes to the total cooking time.
  • Always check the internal temperature to confirm doneness for food safety.
