Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie plate or a similar sized oven-safe dish.
In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder until smooth. This is your first layer.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom of the prepared pie plate.
Spread the marinara or pizza sauce evenly over the cream cheese layer. This is your second layer.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce layer. This is your third layer.
Sprinkle the provolone cheese over the mozzarella. This is your fourth layer.
Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the provolone. This is your fifth layer.
Arrange the mini pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese layers. This is your sixth layer.
Scatter the sliced black olives over the pepperoni. This is your seventh and final topping layer.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley.
Serve warm with breadsticks, tortilla chips, or sturdy crackers.
Notes
You can prepare the dip layers, stopping before baking, up to 24 hours in advance. Cover tightly and refrigerate. Add 5 to 10 minutes to the baking time if baking directly from the refrigerator.
For extra flavor, you can mix 1/4 cup cooked, crumbled Italian sausage into the marinara sauce layer.
Use sturdy dipping items, as this dip is thick and heavy.
